  • Vermont Digger

Strategic Project: This internship would focus on launching our new business membership program to increase financial support for VTDigger's mission. We have the bones of the program designed, and we'd like this person to build out the assets and communication plan (together with our product design director and other members of our team) and build relationships with businesses to secure 10 or so contributing business members to be the inaugural members of this program. The business membership offers a way for businesses to show their support for nonpartisan, independent journalism and keep our work free to read for Vermonters; it is different from advertising in that it is not a fee in exchange for service. We have heard from many Vermont businesses that they want to support us, but they do not have a need to advertise. Skills required are: project management, marketing, sales, relationship building, written communication.
